What This Service Covers
Much of our work takes place within facilities that are already operating — which means upgrade and installation projects have to be planned around an active site, not a blank one. This service covers new equipment installation, structural modifications, and construction work carried out within or alongside existing oil and gas facilities.
Brownfield work like this carries a different set of demands than greenfield construction. Existing systems need to be identified and protected, work has to be sequenced around what the facility can safely accommodate while still operating, and coordination with the client's own HSE and operations teams is continuous rather than a single handover point. A facility upgrade that looks straightforward on a drawing can be considerably more complex to execute safely once live systems, existing structures, and operational constraints are accounted for.
Our scope on these projects typically includes installing new process or utility equipment and skids, making structural modifications or reinforcements to accommodate new loads, and carrying out the construction work needed to bring an upgrade from design into service — all while keeping the surrounding facility safe and, where required, operational throughout.
How We Deliver This Service
Site & Interface Review
Existing facility layout, systems, and operational constraints are reviewed to understand how new work will interface with what's already there.
Work Planning & HSE Coordination
Work is sequenced and coordinated with the client's HSE and operations teams, accounting for permits, isolations, and any operational limitations on the work.
Installation & Construction
New equipment, skids, and structural modifications are installed and constructed to the design, working within the access and safety constraints of an active facility.
Testing & Integration
New installations are tested and integrated with existing systems, confirming correct operation before handover.
Handover
Completed work is handed over to the client with the documentation required to bring it into service.

Standards & Quality
Work within operating facilities is carried out under the client's permit-to-work and HSE requirements in addition to the applicable construction and installation standards for the equipment or structure involved.
