What This Service Covers

Pipeline and flow-line construction is one of the areas of work we've carried out most consistently — from short in-facility line replacements to multi-kilometre flow-line sections. The work covers the full construction sequence: route preparation, pipe stringing and alignment, welding, testing, coating, and final tie-in into the existing system.

Every line we build or replace starts with understanding the route — the ground conditions, any water crossings, existing buried infrastructure, and access constraints that shape how the work has to be sequenced. From there, pipe is strung and aligned, welded by qualified welders, and each weld is subject to the non-destructive testing the project specification calls for before the line is coated and buried or installed.

Line replacement work, in particular, requires coordination beyond just the construction activity itself — the old line typically needs to be isolated and made safe, the replacement installed, and the tie-in executed with minimal disruption to whatever facility or process the line serves. We've carried out replacements of buried lines several kilometres in length, as well as shorter in-facility flow-line and bye-pass work, and the same discipline around welding quality, testing, and safe isolation applies regardless of scale.

How We Deliver This Service

Route Survey & Preparation

The pipeline route is surveyed and prepared — clearing, trenching, and addressing any crossings or access constraints identified in advance.

Pipe Stringing & Alignment

Pipe sections are strung along the route and aligned in preparation for welding, using rigging and support as required by pipe size and terrain.

Welding

Welding is carried out by qualified welders to the applicable welding procedure specification for the line.

Non-Destructive Testing

Welds are inspected using the non-destructive testing method specified for the project — typically radiographic or ultrasonic testing — before the line proceeds to coating.

Coating & Corrosion Protection

Welded joints and the line as a whole receive the specified coating system for corrosion protection before burial or final installation.

Hydrotesting & Tie-In

The completed line is hydrotested to confirm integrity, then tied into the existing system, with the old line safely isolated where this is a replacement project.
