Engineering
Design and engineering solutions tailored to client specifications, from concept through detailed design.
What This Service Covers
Engineering is the starting point of almost every project we undertake — the stage where an operational requirement is translated into drawings, specifications, and calculations that a construction team can actually build from. We provide engineering support across the full project lifecycle: early conceptual studies to establish feasibility and rough sizing, front-end engineering design (FEED) to develop the technical basis for a project, and detailed design to produce the issued-for-construction documentation that field teams work from.
Our engineering scope spans multiple disciplines that typically need to work together on an oil and gas project — piping and layout, process line sizing, structural and civil support, and instrumentation. Rather than treating these as separate silos, we coordinate them so that a piping route accounts for structural support points, a process line size reflects actual operating conditions, and a design package holds together as a buildable whole rather than a set of disconnected drawings.
Because our engineering team also has direct exposure to construction and commissioning, the designs we produce are shaped by what is actually achievable in the field — accessible tie-in points, realistic construction sequencing, and specifications that match materials genuinely available and inspectable. A design that looks correct on paper but can't be built, welded, or inspected as drawn creates delays and rework; we design to avoid that.
How We Deliver This Service
Requirements & Data Gathering
We start from the client's operating parameters, existing site data, and project objectives to establish the design basis before any drawing work begins.
Conceptual / FEED Studies
Early-stage studies establish feasibility, rough sizing, and design options, giving the client a technical basis to confirm project direction before committing to detailed design.
Detailed Design
Full piping, process, structural, and instrumentation design is developed — drawings, specifications, datasheets, and material take-offs issued for construction.
Design Review & Verification
Design packages are reviewed against the original basis of design and applicable codes before issue, catching conflicts or omissions before they reach the field.
Construction Support
Engineering support continues through construction — responding to field queries, reviewing as-built deviations, and issuing revised drawings where site conditions require it.
What's Involved
Standards & Quality
Engineering work is carried out with reference to the applicable industry codes and standards for piping, process, structural, and instrumentation design relevant to oil and gas facilities, and aligned with each client's own engineering standards and specifications where these apply.
