Fire Fighting Equipment Installations
Installation of fixed fire-fighting systems and equipment across industrial facilities.
What This Service Covers
A fixed fire-fighting system is one piece of infrastructure a facility genuinely hopes never to need — but it has to work correctly the one time it's called on. We design, procure, and install fixed fire protection systems for oil and gas facilities, including fire water piping networks, pump skids, foam systems, monitors, and the associated control equipment that ties a system together.
This work covers both new fire protection installations on greenfield or upgraded facilities, and modification of existing systems — extending coverage, replacing aging equipment, or upgrading a system to meet current requirements. The piping network itself has to be sized and routed correctly, pump skids selected and installed to deliver the required flow and pressure, and monitors and hydrants positioned to provide effective coverage of the areas they're protecting.
None of this is complete without testing. Every fire-fighting installation we hand over has gone through functional testing and commissioning — confirming pumps start and deliver rated flow, monitors reach their intended coverage area, and the system as a whole performs as designed — before it's handed to the client as an operational fire protection system rather than just installed hardware.
How We Deliver This Service
System Design Review
The fire protection design — piping network, pump sizing, monitor and hydrant placement — is reviewed against the facility's protection requirements.
Procurement & Fabrication
Fire pump skids, piping, valves, monitors, and control equipment are procured and, where required, fabricated to the design.
Installation
The piping network, pump skids, and fire-fighting equipment are installed according to the design, including all associated structural supports and control wiring.
Functional Testing
Pumps, monitors, and the piping network are functionally tested — confirming flow, pressure, and coverage meet the design intent.
Commissioning & Handover
The complete system is commissioned and handed over with the documentation confirming it has been tested and is ready for service.
What's Involved
Standards & Quality
Fire-fighting system design and installation follow the applicable fire protection standards for industrial and oil and gas facilities, with functional testing carried out against the performance criteria the system was designed to meet.
